Discover Engelberg - Titlis
Engelberg is located in the Swiss Alps at approx. 1050 meters above sea level. The former monastery village is one of the most popular winter and summer resorts in Europe.
Mt. Titlis is, of course, the main attraction, with its 3020 m high. The Image of Engelberg is dominated by monastery buildings and Art Nouveau-style hotels.
After an unforgettable day on the slopes, you can enjoy in Engelberg culinary delicacies ranging from consistent to very modern. Motion lovers are pampered with deals outside of the slopes.
In the winter 2012/2013, Titlis opened the highest suspended rope bridge in Europe, a 100 m long construction at the mountain station at 3000 m altitude (access depending on weather conditions). The view of the 500-meter deep abyss of the southern wall of Titlis on this moving 1-meter wide bridge is surely one that you will not be able to forget easily!
But Titlis is just as popular in the summer months, especially hikers and wanderers are flocking to Engelberg and the surrounding areas.
The nearby lakes Eugenisee, Trüebsee and Melchsee are very popular destinations for nature lovers.
Engelberg can be reached by train from all major cities in Switzerland, with the trains usually departing at every hour
